Although the car has a little over 89k miles on it the rotary was replaced with a remanufactured one from Mazda which only has a little over 40k miles on it. The Excedy stage one clutch was installed in august of 2016 meaning this ‘93 RX7 is ready for the open road. A new Mazda steering wheel also adds a nice touch to the interior as well. With the car having a clean and clear Auto History report verifying the mileage and no accidents this has to be one of the better 7's around. 1994 Mazda RX-7 This is a Sema built car. Its been on display at Sema 2016 for Toyo Tire Treadpass & 2017 on display with Meguiares. This is a one of a kinda FD that was the first to have the rocket bunny kit in the entire northeast. There is a lot of modifications to list but I will keep this a brief as possible. The car has such a nice blend of angles and curves, while the convertible version adds a unique top that provides targa-style motoring or the full top-down experience. Throw in a rotary engine and 5-speed manual transmission and you have a very... enjoyable driving experience. This car is in excellent condition having only 26k miles and a clean Autocheck report. It's about as nice an example as you'll find, looking far younger than its 27 years. The body is straight and solid without any rust or dents. The original red paint is in remarkable condition. So are the black convertible top and BBS 15" alloy wheels. The 1.3L twin rotor engine is factory rated at 160hp. Note this is the more desirable Series 5 motor used from 1989-1992. It starts right up without a cloud of smoke and has great road manners and that unique rotary sound. The 5-speed manual transmission is a great complement to the engine and adds to the fun factor. The independent rear suspension and rack and pinion steering are great upgrades from the original RX7 and what you'd expect from such a sports car. The black leather interior is also in amazing condition. I've seen 3-year-old interiors with more wear! The sport bucket seats make you feel like you’re part of the car. The seats also have Mazda’s unique headrest surround sound that is very effective. Everything is in good working condition including the wipers, air conditioning, and cruise control. The car also includes the original owner's manual, targa storage bag, and convertible top boot - all in the same beautiful condition. The RX7 convertible was only produced for four years (1988-1991) so they are somewhat rare. And while you can find some low-priced examples that have been driven hard and put away wet, you won't find many like this one. This 1993 Mazda RX-7 is finished in Silver Stone Metallic (SSM) over black leather paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A complete rebuild of its sequentially-turbocharged 1.3-liter rotary engine using OEM parts only was done 2,579 miles ago by a rotary specialist shop in NJ for +$10K. All paperwork and history is included. Factory tuned and dyno'd to prove its health. Cooling and reliability mods done for +$2K - includes new OEM wiring harness and vacuum hoses, aluminum radiator, metal AST, and cat-less downpipe. I've had the car for over 10 years, it was my dream to build a LSX RX7, Ive spent over 50k in the car, always working trying to make it better, the car was built by PEZ, he was known in the rx7 community because of the quality of work and to performed over 25 swaps in rx7's. The car was meant to go to the track but so far I have not been able to take it. The car sits in the garage most of the time and after two kids and a future move I have decided it is time to let someone else enjoy this vehicle. When I first purchased the car it still had the rotary engine. The car was parked in my business parking lot and one of my customers backed into the right corner front. It was reported to our insurance carrier and car was taken to body shop to see if front end had been compromised. Everything came out squared. No suspension pick up points were damaged, and no damage to suspension. Damage was only cosmetic. At this point is when I started the project. I purchased the 99 front end, and started ordering all the swap parts including the engine. The car drives great, no overheating issues, no grinds in the transmission, and car starts up every time.
